On Friday, November 10, High Point hosted their second annual Fall Family Picnic! Mrs. Schoenbaum and Mrs. Stern coordinated the event, which included bouncy castles, a face-painting station, a balloon station, and a DJ.

October has been a fantastic month filled with innovation and creativity!

High Point Academy’s Board of Trustees plays a significant role in honoring the past, preserving the present, and preparing for the future of our special school, and I am pleased to introduce our board members along with their impressive talents and credentials.

High Point Academy showcased its debating accomplishment at a recent middle school debate tournament held on November 4th, 2023. The competition, which featured a diverse array of schools, allowed students to engage in intellectually stimulating debates on two thought-provoking topics like "Performance Enhancement Drugs in Professional Sports" and "Should 18 to 24-Year-Olds Spend a Year in National Service."

Hosted at the end of the Jr. High’s first quarter, the teachers and Student Council plan a day (well, half-day, as the last day of the quarter is always a half-day) of Halloween-themed activities, from some spooky dancing to a few competitive games, and even making some spooky masks.

The scope of engineering known as robotics is concerned with the creation, design, building, use, and application of robots. Future robotic technology is an automatically operated machine that performs a series of activities independently and completes tasks typically completed by humans. As we consider 21st-century learning, these practices will be a critical facet of knowledge for young learners facing artificial intelligence and machine learning in their daily and future lives.
