As part of Computer Science Education Week, out 7th and 8th graders were treated to a special visit and guest lecture from three inspiring Westridge 11th graders. Cyana and her classmates, Isabella and Ray, shared their love of coding and engineering with their “Experiences in Programming” presentation.

Continuing our tradition of Community Engagement, the youngest students at High Point Academy collected new and gently-used jackets and coats for Families in Transition—Pasadena. Their service learning project began with discussions based on a reading of Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña so these kinders could learn about and begin to engender empathy—the first step in meaningful giving. As our end-of-year Annual Fund drive continues, we have immense gratitude for the generous donations High Point has received. Thank you to all who have contributed to the HPA Annual Fund in the past few months. Your support of this vital fund will enhance the educational experience of all High Point Eagles!

With the arrival of GivingTuesday comes the opportunity to show generosity and spread kindness – and to inspire others to do the same. The High Point community joined Rise Against Hunger in its fight against hunger. On Friday, November 18th, students helped to package meals for children and adults who face hunger across the globe. We partnered with Rise Against Hunger to package 10,584 meals! Click to read more!

For the past two months since we began the 2022-2023 school year, I have had the pleasure to observe so many amazing things on campus that have served to confirm what I have known for some time now–that High Point Academy is a very special school with an outstanding academic program and a close and supportive community. Thursday 12/1: Eagle Club will be available from 11:30am - 6pm. You will need to send your child with lunch as there will be NO Hot Lunch or Choice Lunch for K-6th.

Friday 12/2: (K-6 conferences) Child care will be available during your conference time ONLY and they must be picked up when your conference has concluded. All day child care is NOT available.
